Savage & Smit Quintet

Savage & Smit Quintet is at the Amity Gallery on Sunday, June 22, 4-6pm.  The Quintet features Rick Savage on trumpet/flugelhorn, Ian Smit guitar/fx, Joe Vincent Tranchina keys, Pete MacDonald drums and Ryan Berg, brass.  Their music has been described as “meditative”, “healing”, and “adventurous”.  Savage & Smit improvises their performances entirely, in a broad style similar to “jazz” music released on ECM records.Their latest release “Of Course” is available on all platforms with recommended listening on BandCamp.
